We have been hard at work preparing our classrooms for our new class of 5th graders! Just a reminder tonight from 4:30-5:30 you can come and meet your teachers.  If you have your school supplies you can bring them and drop them off in your 1st period class!  Looking forward to meeting lots of you tonight!

End of Year

May 28: Citizenship Award Water Slide

May 30: 5th grade Awards Ceremony at 9:00.  Early Release at 11:30.  You may check your child out with their homeroom teacher after ceremony.

May 31:  5th grade End of Year Party at 9:00.  Early Release at 11:30

 

All textbooks, cafeteria, library books, Read with me products must be clear to receive grade placement for the next year.

Christmas Party

Christmas Parties for Intermediate will take place on the last day of school prior to the holidays. Party and Early Dismissal Schedules are listed below:

  • December 21st, Friday – INTERMEDIATE PARTIES – 3rd & 4th 9:00-10:00/5th 9:30-10:30
  • Parents may check their child out and take them with them after the Christmas party.
  • INTERMEDIATE DISMISSAL 11:30

Parents – yellow notes were sent home with intermediate students to help make signing in to attend your child’s Christmas party more convenient.  If your driver’s license has already been saved in our computer and you plan on attending an intermediate Christmas party, please fill in the information on the yellow sheet and send it back with your child.  The office will have your visitor badge printed for you already, and you will not have to wait in line to check in at the office!

Drug Free Red Ribbon Week

The Best Me is Drug Free

OCTOBER 29 – NOVEMBER 2, 2012

Monday: Sock it to  Drugs – Wear crazy or mix matched socks.

Tuesday: Use your head! Don’t do drugs– Wear a cap or hat

Wednesday: Spook Out Drugs! – Wear a costume. No Masks! No Props ALLOWED!  Costumes must follow the dress code found of page 12 in the Intermediate planner.

Thursday: Shade our drugs! -Wear sunglasses

Friday:  White Oak Pride Day- Wear maroon and white.

We hope everyone will encourage their child/children to participate in these drug free awareness activities.

Red “Drug Free” bracelets are given to the students from East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

Great Beginnings

The beginning of school started with a bang!  What an awesome group of 5th graders.  The class of 2020 is off to a great start.  In class we are completing a get to know you activity and Thursday will begin talking about poetry.  The students will create their first poem and post  it on their blog.  Be watching for your child to post their very own creation next week.
